Mindfulness Coaching for Athletes, creating our mindfulness toolbox (6 tools).

The course is meticulously designed to be user friendly and immediately enforceable. We will cover and experience the 6 Major tools for creating a better, more present successful life.

All these strategies negate the temptation to impede attentiveness and therefore lead to happier lives therefore being a better player, teammate, family man/woman and friend. The overall GOAL of mindfulness is simple yet needs constant cultivation.  The goal is to be present in the now, not to dwell and live in tragedy of the past or the uncertainty on the future of which cannot be changed or predetermined and therefor cause high levels of anxiety and a lack of concentration and poor performance as a person and whatever job you have.

The only thing you have control of is the NOW so be the best person you can be, on a day to day basis, making the best decisions you can each day and lead a simpler life that is more enjoyable and notices dis-ease before it becomes disease.

    As yoga students and teachers, we are hyper-aware of the importance of our breath in movement. Mindful Athlete, in my opinion, takes that to another level with techniques and exercises that foster a sharp, focused and calm mind...qualities that are invaluable not only to competitive athletes in high pressure roles and situations, but also to any person interested in performing at his/her best. The Mindful Athlete course is a small investment, both financial and temporal, for a very useful complement to your PYFS certification(s).

    My name is Alex Greenberg and I am a PE teacher and 3 sport varsity coach as well as PYSF1&2 and have completed "The Way of the Mindful Athlete". I wanted to reach out to you to send my highest recommendation for PYSF2 and the mindful athlete course. As a varsity coach I regularly use the mindful athlete course material and teachings. The days of focusing attention solely to the physical demands and aspects of a sport or skill are numbered and more and more coaches and athletes are understanding the benefits that can be attained from mindful practice for not only players and athletes on-field performance but for their longevity and well-being. Take the Seattle Seahawks for example (and NY Giants/NY Knicks), a team comprised of 91 high performing NFL athletes who have regularly and consistently incorporated mindful practice into off-season and in-season training to "be able the do their job the best they can". The material and the teachings I have gained form this course made it possible for me to adapt these practices in my teachings and with my athletes and it has been amazing. I also would highly recommend the PYSF2 course. The materials that are provided with this course are outstanding and I was able to easily add TONS of routines to my practices immediately (they come with it!).
    Sorry for rambling but I am a huge supporter of these programs and courses and I would highly recommend them to anyone wishing to give the best possible experience to their students and athletes.
